Nisarga Cyclone To Strike Alibaug Near Mumbai At Noon With 110 KMPH Winds: 10 Points

Mumbai / New Delhi: Nisarga Tropical Storm, which has intensified into a “severe cyclonic storm” this morning, is heading towards the coasts of Maharashtra and Gujarat and is expected to land near Mumbai this afternoon. This will be the second cyclone to hit India in two weeks, and the first to hit the financial capital in more than 100 years in June.

Nobody is allowed to go out in public places like beaches, parks, and walks along the coastline of Mumbai, police said in a late-night order. Maharashtra, Gujarat, Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli were put on high alert as some parts of these two states and the Union Territories fall on the cyclone path that developed over an area of low pressure over the Arabian Sea.
